A new super-villain, Arthur Parks—the Living Laser—debuts, wielding light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation as his primary weapon. After robbing a bank, he becomes infatuated with Janet van Dyne (the Wasp) and attacks Goliath to remove him from her life. Hank Pym defeats the Living Laser, but Parks escapes and begins a new crime spree across the city, setting the stage for the Avengers to confront him again.
Cameo appearance by Dr. Bill Foster.
